This is a chatbot that was initially designed to help customers of a movie theater in Baltimore order snacks.
In my capacity as a UX specialist, I am tasked with identifying user challenges and devising practical solutions. This involves creating wireframes ranging from low to high fidelity, to effectively visualize and address these challenges.
A significant issue we've identified is the inconvenience users face while managing various aspects of a movie-going experience, such as purchasing concessions and coordinating plans with friends.
Concession Stand Queues: 80% of our surveyed users express dissatisfaction with long lines at concession stands, citing time constraints and anxiety as major deterrents.
Time Management: About 40% of participants prefer arriving just five minutes before the movie starts, leaving them little to no time for snack purchases or a relaxed ticket pick-up process.
Group Planning Challenges: Coordinating a movie outing with multiple people is found challenging by 20% of the participants, complicating the overall planning process.
Cost Concerns: A significant 80% often opt-out of purchasing anything beyond the movie ticket, deterred by the high costs of theater amenities.
To alleviate these pain points, we propose the development of a user-friendly bot. This digital assistant would streamline the process of ordering snacks, organizing movie outings with friends and family, and managing all pertinent details related to the cinema experience, thereby enhancing overall customer satisfaction and convenience.
